lisocore® is the high-performance lightweight panel for the most demanding requirements. Its unique PowerDome core structure made from sustainable wood fibres provides exceptional stability and minimal weight.
Lighter.
The lisocore® PowerDome structure reduces the amount of material required by more than 50%. This results in significant weight savings – without compromising stability. Compared with conventional sandwich panels, the spot bonding of the core structure requires around 80% less adhesive, contributing to further weight reduction.
Stronger.
The dome-shaped core structure of lisocore® consists of wood fibres that undergo a special treatment to make them exceptionally strong, dimensionally stable and moisture-resistant.
The second factor contributing to stability is the special PowerDot bonding between the core and the face layers. Precise spot milling creates a three-dimensional positive-fit connection between the dome shapes and the face layers, which is then bonded with a high-strength formaldehyde-free adhesive. This prevents the layers from shifting relative to one another under bending loads. The result is outstanding load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability.
More sustainable.
Compared with conventional wood-based panels, the production of lisocore® uses more than 50% less wood.
The wood fibres used for the core are produced from wood residues and reinforced with natural binders and recycled PET fibres. The face panels are made predominantly from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests.
The adhesive used is formaldehyde-free and is applied only at specific points. Compared with conventional sandwich panels, this reduces adhesive consumption by up to 80%.
The single-material construction means that all residual materials can be recycled.
More loading volume, less weight.
During transport, lisocore® reduces costs and CO₂ emissions. Its significantly lower weight enables a considerably higher loading volume. Compared with particleboard, this results in 30% fewer trucks on the road each year.
